Trance Time

Back To Trance

I'd been a fan of trance for years. Especially during the commercial boom of the genre at the end of the 90's.
Big tracks like 'Sandstorm' ,'Time To Burn' ,'9pm Till I Come' and so on, were big favourites of mine.

The energy, the beauty and the shear euphoria that some of the top trance tracks create is hard to match.
That being said, I still found myself swaying in the direction of house music and kind of left trance behind.

Until recently! Having spent a bit of time talking with one of my friends at my day job (work) I thought to myself I should check trance out again! I'm glad I did.

 

An Old Friend.

It was like catching up with an old friend. Technology ultimately has changed the way trance sounds, but the energy, beauty and euphoria is still there, bigger and better than ever.
 So I collected a few tracks, got behind the decks and mixed a little mix up. With all the elements you'd expect from a trance set.

Xciting Vibez - February 2016

Another Month Of Great Music

Hi, thanks again for reading my ramblings about my DJ recordings.

This months Xciting Vibez, I nearly spelt the month wrong, Febuary instead of February! How many people have done that in their lives? Or am I just better at DJing than I am spelling?

This months mix is chock full of excellent dance/club music to get you in the mood to spring into a few shapes.

I went directly for the exciting vibe straight from the off, and I'm glad I did because I had so much good music to chose from.
So no warm-up session like last month, just pure future house and EDM.

Nice bass-lines, catchy hooks an plenty of mesmerising vocals. I really hope you enjoy my selections. I did around 4 takes on this session, over the month, to get it right.

Re-Hashed

90's and 00's dance music re-hashed

The 1990's a brilliant decade full of exciting fashion, advances in technology and dance music. A superb new sound that started to take shape in the late 80's, but really blossomed in the 90's.

 I was lucky enough to grow up in the 90's and was exposed to these brilliant tracks, that made dance-floors shake. Although I wasn't old enough to go to the nightclubs and experience it first hand until the late 90's.

The great music continued into the early 2000's with bouncy funky house music still being commercially vibrant. Garage and Trance had set a generation on fire too.

My latest mix features modern day re-takes of some of  the 90's and 00's dance anthems. The tracks in this mix are either cover shots, remixes or tracks that contain samples, from that golden era of dance music. Hence the name Re-Hashed.

So come on, let's rave. I hope you enjoy the mood I've tried to set here and recapture some of that dance music vibe.
